Da-Lite will show how integrators can solve new challenges in conference rooms, classrooms, and multipurpose spaces with its new aircraft-grade cable drop screen feature, SightLine, in the Legrand | AV booth W903, at InfoComm 2022. Available as an option with the company’s Tensioned Advantage® and Advantage electric screens, SightLine gives the impression of a floating screen. The single roller design suspension system features three or four thin cables that can accommodate drop distances up to 70 inches between the ceiling and the top of the screen. This innovation eliminates the need for the traditional black border above the projection screen and simplifies AV setups by creating space above a screen to place cameras or speakers while its low-profile design preserves a room’s architectural integrity.
“SightLine is a fresh approach to a projection screen that solves arising challenges,” said Wendy Cox, director, product management | Da-Lite, a brand of Legrand | AV. “Whether integrators are tasked with installing AV equipment in more optimal positions, need a solution that can transform a room to address a variety of functions, or just need something that’s eye-catchingly different, the SightLine feature is the answer. We can’t wait for everyone to see it live at InfoComm.”
With SightLine, the traditional black drop — the black border above the projection screen — is replaced by three or four slim cables. This makes the projection screen appear to float in the air, creating a sleek appearance. The open space between the ceiling and the top of the screen preserves the look of a room and enhances the aesthetics of a space. With the click of a button, the screen retracts into the ceiling and out of the way when not in use.
This flexible system also makes specifying, ordering, and installing a screen quick and easy. The SightLine cable drop accommodates a range of drop distances up to 70 inches. Traditionally, integrators need to calculate the drop distance ahead of time when ordering a screen, but SightLine eliminates this step. Integrators simply order the screen and dial in the appropriate viewing height on site. Additionally, the height adjustability of the screens will easily accommodate projector upgrades. This guarantees Tensioned Advantage and Advantage with SightLine are future-proof solutions that can be used for years to come.
Da-Lite’s Tensioned Advantage (available in sizes up to 177 inches diagonal 16:9 and up to 182 inches diagonal 16:10) and Advantage (available in sizes up to 184 inches diagonal in 16:9 and up to 189 inches diagonal in 16:10) with SightLine are shipping now.
