Fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers have an extra reason to celebrate the World Series this year. Taco Bell is bringing back its Steal a Base, Steal a Taco promotion.
The Irvine-based fast food giant will be giving away one Doritos Locos taco to every baseball fan who claims it after the first base is stolen in the showdown between the Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Usually Taco Bell sets a time and date for fans to come to a restaurant get the prize.
This year, Taco Bell customers can reserve a personal reclamation period through a code on the fast food chain’s app a few hours after the first base gets stolen, according to a news release.
But fans who don’t want to use the app will be able to pick up a free taco inside the restaurants on Oct. 28, the press release said.
The 2020 World Series begins at 5:09 p.m. Tuseday, Oct. 20 with the Dodgers facing the Rays at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, due to restrictions imposed by the novel coronavirus pandemic. The game will air on Fox.
