Another Orange County softball standout has committed to national power Oklahoma.
Esperanza High center fielder Hannah Coor committed to the Sooners on Wednesday, Oct. 7, she announced on Instagram.
“Thank you to my family, coaches and teammates for helping me along this journey,” she wrote on her social media account.
Coor, a senior, joins Los Alamitos All-County catcher Sophia Nugent in Oklahoma’s 2021 recruiting class.
As a sophomore in 2019, Coor was selected second-team All-County after helping the Aztecs reach the second round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs. She distinguished herself as a strong hitter and athletic outfielder.
This past high school season was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic.
Coor plays travel softball for the O.C. Batbusters, which sent class of 2020 stars Tiare Jennings, Zaida Puni and Nicole May to Oklahoma.
The sixth-ranked Sooners started last season 20-4 before the campaign was halted by the pandemic. They were the runner-up to UCLA at the 2019 College World Series.
