American bully girl Gypsi needs a special home

Breed: American bully

Age: 7 months

Gender: Spayed female

Size: 33 pounds

Gypsi’s story: Gypsi looks like a tiny pit bull, but she is a different breed. She is short and stocky and should weigh between 35 and 45 pounds when mature, although that is just an estimate. Her coat is the prettiest shades of blue fawn and white, and so very soft. She is a sweet, playful girl who is either a 100 mph Tasmanian devil with very sharp shark teeth or a completely passed-out snuggle bug.

She was placed with Pups and Pals by a well-intentioned family who took on too much by getting this little girl, so the rescue group intends to make sure her next home is 100% ready for her. She would not do well in a home with a small or senior dog. She would likely do best with a male of equal or bigger size. While she loves children, she is very mouthy with them in play and too protective of them, so no children younger than 10.

Her adopter should be willing to take her to training to channel that protective behavior into something positive. She will need lots of exercise; she is great on leash and can walk for quite a long distance. She plays fetch and will carry things in her mouth all day.  This is not a beginner or novice dog, but one for someone with experience in bully breeds and extensive training knowledge and time for exercise.

Adoption procedure: To ensure that her next owner is serious about training, the rescue will be asking for a $200 training deposit, which will be refunded with proof of completing a training course within 60 days of adoption. Visit Pups and Pals’ website for full adoption procedures and the adoption application. Pups and Pals asks for an application before scheduling a visit with the dog.
