A bayfront Newport Beach mansion designed with luxury spa resort-style amenities that make it ideal for riding out the pandemic is on the market.

All for a cool $27.5 million.

Situated at the mouth of Newport Harbor, the four-level 9,867-square-foot dwelling in a Modern Farmhouse style offers six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and a heated Himalayan salt cave for detoxifying the body.

The salt cave shares the bottom level with an infrared-free Swedish dry sauna, a gym with a wide, rock-climbing wall, and a glass ceiling-topped hydrotherapy room with hot and cold plunge tanks.

Two massage tables allow the hydrotherapy space to double as a massage therapy room.

On the second floor are the great room that combines the living and dining spaces, a wine room and bar, and an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast nook.

The master suite on the third floor contains a bathroom with a floating tub and a glass-enclosed shower, a dressing area, and a walk-in closet. There’s a screening room with a fireplace next door.

There’s a “gentlemen’s loft” with 270-degree bay views in the fourth-floor crow’s nest.

Completed in 2018, the house backs up to 72 feet of waterfront with a private dock whose fingers accommodate three vessels, from a Duffy boat to an 80-foot vessel. Between the two is room for a 59-foot vessel.

There’s also a state-of-the-art AquaticFloors swimming pool that listing agent Michelle Linovitz of Villa Real Estate calls “the first of its kind in Orange County.” With a press of a button, the pool’s depth can adjust for different activities.

As Linovitz puts it, “It feel like a six star resort.”
