Deputies arrested 10 people this week suspected of burglarizing a Verizon store in Yorba Linda, authorities said.
A security guard reported the burglary at the cell phone store in the 18300 block of Imperial Highway early Thursday morning about 1:45 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release. Deputies arrived to find two vehicles at the shop, stopping a gray BMW, while a white Ford Mustang sped away.
Deputies arrested five men and one male juvenile inside the BMW where they said they also found stolen items.
The suspects driving the Mustang led authorities on a chase, speeding as fast as 150 mph, the Sheriff’s Department said. The car stopped in Gardena, where the driver and passengers, three men and one other male juvenile ran, attempted to run away, but were arrested by authorities.
The Sheriff’s Department said they recovered stolen items from the Mustang and also recovered two handguns that had been tossed out of the car during the chase.
Authorities did not identify the 10 suspects and did not say what charges they would be booked on suspicion of.
